West Arnhem Land “Bala Bala”

The Bala Bala is a lightweight shelter developed by community members in West Arnhem Land. Designed as an affordable housing option for tropical conditions, it has been refined through continued use in the region.

Manufactured and assembled on site in West Arnhem Land, our involvement has focused on the fabrication and installation of the structure. We have returned multiple times over the years to assist with installation.
